Spring wound Hermle clocks...

...are nothing but trouble. I've replaced and had repaired two 341-020A (45cm) movements and neither has lasted more than a couple of months. New movements are $250 and everyone recommends replacing instead of repairing. I miss the mechanical ticking and the Westminster chimes. Good thing I wrote a program to do the chiming (and have an app for my iPhone) I guess.
